A Curving Summer

Not even a week since the blossoming summer had some really stunning effects on, well, irregulars like me. But it sure didn't take long enough to make things better. I mean worse. An overnight boom of both electricity and fuel has definitely made its effects on the Colombo city streets under the scorching sun. And given the pitiful drivers who have quite a reputation in messing things up it didn't even take seconds to make a big picture.

As I plotted my escape, which ended up successfully btw, the choppers flying over analyzing the situation had reported 40% non-moving blocks. I won't be surprised if the situation turns in to a chaos turning the 40% non-moving in to 40% abandoned ones. If not for some quirky decisions made under very stressful conditions, I would be laying in one of the accident ward floors, which are known to be quite clean and well attended. Not sure about others, but under these circumstances, I would very much prefer the desert over all of this.

However, thanks to a random getaway, I'm quite settled following an impending victory for the Pakistanis in Bangalore, where players seem to enjoy a more idyllic summer. I sure hope they grab the remaining stumps before play ends, cos the overall result would be very much unfavorable otherwise. So cheers to those who are enjoying summer and tears to those who aren't!
