The Earthquake Number
Continuing on the number game, we all know how bad 13 could get. Try adding 13 more to it (13 + 13 = 26). Any clue?
It was on the 26th of December 2004, an earthquake in Sumatra triggered tusnamis in the Indian Ocean killing hundreds of thousands and displacing millions more. It was on the 26th of December 2003, exactly a year ago, the southeast Iranian city of Bam was devastated by a major earthquake killing over 40,000. It was on the 26th of September the Northern Japanese Island of Hokkaido was hit by a strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.8, after Sendai of Japan became a point of devastation on the 26th of May. And on the 26th October in the same year the Gansu Province in China was hit by two strong earthquakes.
Hold your breath, it goes further back. On the 26th of April 2002, an earthquake measuring 7.1 struck Marianna Islands. And on the 26th of January 2001 it struck Gujarat in India and back again at Channai in September causing utter devastation to the entire region.
How now, what could 13 do when it doubles up! It has certainly moved the world one way or another. Many look at it as a purely coincidental occurance. But some think it's all to do with the numbers. But before 26 gets its limelight, another seem to have barged into the scene. It's our dear friend eight (8). How come?
When you calculate the 2 and 6 in the 26, you get 8. Generally, number 8 is a difficult number because it includes twos and fours. To achieve anything, 8 has to put in a great effort. The positive side of the number eight is that it has a burning desire to achieve material wealth. But the desire to accumulate material wealth will make them fall. Even if they succeed it is for a short time. - Dr. Vischjager
I wonder what's the big deal with twos and fours. Aren't they all even? If I'd only known about little eight's greediness I would have avoided printing it in my jersy. However, the Doctor's point was, adding up December 26, 2004 made it end up in eights. So in his words "We have to be cautious. There is chance of some kind of destruction occuring on these days".
Well, in that case, the question is raised, how come Bam got it with a seven? Isn't seven supposed to be lucky? I'm begining to think if numbers could be so deadly to our race, then why not avoid using them? Right.
Numbers or no numbers, I know for sure that earthquakes love both human and material destruction. So since it does not cordially send a notice prior to its arrival we might as well watch out and be ready 365. But in case you like numbers, remember to put eight in the dark list.
