Froggy Times Ahead

Ha! After all these days I finally have a breather; that'd be the frogs. Even though it diverts from the previous theme, which naturally took a huge part of me, I'm quite happy about the transition.

It has been a very emotional period, during the last few weeks and not even with the best of my abilities would I be able to describe what I really mean by it. Ceneus saw a rocket climb in stats, and of course the mailbox had its own job to deal with. While I'm thankful to all those who mailed, for whatever the reason, I also apologize to all those whom I couldn’t write back to in time.

The long weekend has definitely put something new on many minds. They are getting back on their feet and trying to head in new directions. Basic provisions are beginning to lose color among the main requirements and most are appealing for resettlements so that they can leave the trauma behind and make a new start. Given the 500 yards boundary, now comes the time where the colored-seats go 1-on-1 in ground fights. What comes out of it would obviously have a larger gradient that the general rate of decay.

I've been reading nice stories in the papers, except for the irregular notices of missing dogs due to the tsunami. I don't suppose the police are going to investigate on that. But what they will get into the bottom are stories like the re-appearance of the rebel leader with a tsunami-untouched air strip, the political canon balls beginning to unleash their projectiles (90 degrees to the horizontal!), the accountability factor in aid (distribution vs. appropriation) and yes a little bit of this and that of the never ending tale.

However, among the good stuff, businessmen are quite overjoyed with the fluctuations in exchange rates specially after a radical drop off in the rupee. The insurances are coming forward not only to cover up losses that were not a part of their deal, but also to provide complimentary income to the media with 'flawless' testimonials. Banks are happily providing loans at never-before-heard terms, and the middle-men are enjoying an unexpected return of the lost holiday season, in an unusual way though. Oh! and not to mention the flourishing air time with the night time tariffs.

Among the extraordinary are the analysis of Early Leaving Systems and 'FREE' public presentations on "Tsunami! WHY? ...did God let it happen? Does the bible provide the answer? Or does it adhere with Stephen Hawking's Universe?" As local opinions are overlooked there are Guest Speakers flying down from overseas to enlighten the crowd. How well, now you see the real boost in economy. Oh! And did I mention about the 'free booklet' you’re entitled to, in case you're unable to attend?

Everything over here is running on a scale. The adverse effects are no longer coincidental, but rather deliberately planned and well executed rocket launches. Most of us have already seen the fragility of human nature in such a disaster. But now it turns into a different chapter of our weakness. Go ahead; call it PTS, for that's the only plum that shines in litter. 'O Opportunity, thy guilt is great!

I just can't imagine how many lives the tsunami had destroyed nor can I imagine how many more it has helped. I can only think why Newton didn't name his laws of motion as laws of reality. I'm really looking forward to the times ahead filled with "God knows what"; then again it's been the case all along. But hey, weren't we hit by the sea?
