All on board to the rescue

It's been a major task to organize rescue missions all along the region to find survivors, who are still reported to be out there abandoned and trapped in inaccessible locations. Most places which were sub-merged during the earlier hours have now cleared up revealing life and death, the latter being the most.

Several parts of Sri Lanka are running camps in schools and religous institutions which are almost filled up with both local and foreigners. Most roads have been cleared to make way for food aid and other supplies to get through. Some affected areas are still inaccessible.

CNN published phone numbers of help lines around the region. I though It might come of use for anyone who get's here. Here they are.

India: +91 11 2309 3054
Thailand: +66 2643 5262 and 2643 5000
Sri Lanka (residents): +94 11 536 1938
Sri Lanka (tourists): +94 11 243 7061
Maldives: +44 20 7224 2149
Seychelles: +248 321 676
